Who We Are
“Roddur” is working for the people & with the people.
“Roddur” started its journey from 25th of August’2015, with a cultural night in a homely environment without any name under the able supervision of Ms. Sammilita with the efficient assistance of Mr. Sutap Ghosh.
The evening touched the soul of all the associated people with the program and they have planned for the second program in the same manner in the rooftop to celebrate “Rabindra Jayanti” in 2016.
The feeling of the souls of people gradually formed a group & created “Roddur” for the cultural activity. They have started their journey with a new hope & feeling of love with the name of “Roddur”.
Team realized to grow & for the first time they have planned for a cultural evening in a small stage on 13th August’16 for the Independence Day celebration.
22ndApril’2017 was the first professional raise for Roddur with the program “Aloy Alo Akash” in Mohit Moitra Mancha. They played “Tasher Desh” of Rabindranath Tagore in a different experimental way in front of the audience. Journey started with success. “Roddur” formed a strong team of Audio-Visual drama with all the fresh people for the genre.
Talent hunt was a new thought of “Roddur” to give support & strength to the people who were detached from the cultural activity for a long time. With the support of such team “Roddur” created different experimental work for the audience which fetched respect for Roddur in a short span of time.
“Roddur” Created “Tasher Desh”, Chandalika, “Tule Nao Tomar Pataka”, “Mayar Khela” etc in audio-visual form. Apart from that “Shruti Utsab”, along with “Talbadya” & other professional cultural evenings and numbers of call shows during the time was the golden history of Roddur’s activity.
